Man sells vintage collection of 2.500 bottles for as little as £1.50 per bottle

A man in Bury St. Edmunds (UK) is selling his collection of wine due to lack of space. And the price? From £1.50 a bottle!

A resident of Bury St. Edmunds (UK) is selling his collection of 2,500 bottles due to lack of space. In order to ensure they sell, the prices start from £1.50 per bottle.

Nicholas, owner of wine merchant Thomas Peatling, who are dealing with the sale, says thatthe seller is not dead as many are reporting, "he just doesn't have the space... We presume he bought a lot of wine in the 70s and 80s" with '71 and '75 Ausleses going for £5 to £10. There are apparently some cracking 1980s German wines still left for prices as little as £2.50.

Please note that these wines are strictly collection only (they will not ship to you). If you are interested, please contact Thomas Peatling on 01284 714 285 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
